Season of Creation
Feast of St Francis of Assisi). Pope Francis chose the theme ‘Seeds of Peace and Hope’ for the world day of prayer while the theme of the whole season is ‘Peace with Creation’, with the biblical reference Isaiah 32:14-18. Both themes offer powerful reminders to us of the strong link between war and the degradation of our planet. The seed indicates the need for a long-term commitment to peace while expressing hope that the seeds of peace may emerge across all continents.
Ethos
This short video offers boards of management the opportunity to reflect on their role in leading, supporting and strengthening the ethos or characteristic spirit that makes our Catholic School a place where each person is seen as made in the image and likeness of God. We ask all our boards of management to take the time to watch the video during the first 100 days of their term of office. The Chairperson will then facilitate a discussion based on the Checklist in Appendix 2 of the Handbook distributed at our Gatherings.
The Video may also be used at a staff meeting during the same time period.
