Carlow Celebrates St Willibrord – Schools Art Competition

Students are invited to submit a piece of art (A4 maximum size) reflecting one of the following:

  • the life of St Willibrord
  • the life of a monk in medieval times
  • illuminated manuscripts produced in the scriptorium of a medieval monastery
  • medieval religious settlements in Carlow

St Willibrord Window

The deadline for receipt of a maximum of six artworks per school at Carlow County Museum is 5.00pm on Monday 31st October 2016. Please include work pupil’s name, class and school name and school telephone number on the reverse of the art work.

Winners

The winners of the three top works of art will be presented with their individual plaque and a ‘class arts supply voucher’ (€70, €60, €50) in St Laserian’s Cathedral, Old Leighlin on the evening of November 7th by Bishops Burrows and Nulty. The winning art works will be displayed in St. Laserian’s Cathedral, Old Leighlin for the month of November..
