I can confirm that the late Fr. Malachy Finegan ministered in the diocese of Kildare & Leighlin as curate in Rosenallis from 1953 to 1956.  The diocese of Kildare and Leighlin has no knowledge or record of any complaint or allegation concerning Fr. Finegan.
I will visit Rosenallis on St. Patrick’s Day to preside at the 11.00am mass. Meanwhile I want to encourage anyone with concerns regarding the safety of children to contact, without delay our Diocesan Designated Liaison Person at 085-8021633, the Child and Family Agency – Tusla at 0906-483106 and/or the Garda National Protective Services Bureau at 01-6663430.
