A staggering 372 young people from around the Diocese received their Pope John Paul II Awards recently at two ceremonies in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow and Cill Mhuire Church, Newbridge.
A huge turnout to both events made them two thoroughly enjoyable occasions. The support and encouragement the young people receive from their families, schools, parishes and leaders is wonderful to see and I hope this support and encouragement continues past the award as these young people grow in their faith and community involvement.
It is a pleasure to celebrate these awards with you all every year and I thank you all once again for the work and energy put into the youth of our Diocese.
