Youth Pilgrimage

Kildare & Leighlin diocesan youth pilgrimage to climb Croagh Patrick will take place on Saturday 4th July and will include the celebrating the Eucharist together at the summit.

This pilgrimage is aimed at those who are over 15 years of age.

The pilgrimage will cost 10 per person.

All those wishing to participate should bring suitable footwear and clothing for the climb, a change of clothes in case the weather is cold or wet, and a packed lunch.


We hope to organise transport on a Deanery basis – the 56 parishes in our diocese are divided into 7 deaneries.

Parishes should note that according to good practice guidelines adult leaders must travel with groups of young people under 18 years of age.

Parental consent forms are required for all those under 18 years of age.
