There will be a reunion day for the World Youth Day pilgrims on Sunday October 5th, which will centre on a pilgrimage day in Glendalough.

This will be the first opportunity for all of the Kildare & Leighlin World Youth Day Pilgrims to complete a journey together.

Invitations have gone out in the post to all of those who attended World Youth Day in Australia and also to those whose journey brought them back home sooner than expected. We are looking forward to sharing our experiences, from Australia and Rome, and also to taking part in a programme led by Roddy Geoghegan.

All those who intend to join us are asked to register-

by email to [email protected]
or by text to Trish at 087-7788007

Our plan is to have a bus pick up at 11am, arriving in Glendalough between 12 and 12.30 to begin our programme.

We will arrange buses for transport to leave from central venues, but these will depend on our numbers, so please let us know as soon as possible whether or not you will be able to join us.Everyone will be notified of transport arrangements as soon as numbers are finalised.

Roddy Geoghegan will act as our facilitator for the day. We will have a short break in the afternoon for a snack (which you should bring with you) before continuing with our pilgrimage. After some free time to walk and talk together and reflect on what we have seen and heard, we will celebrate Mass together, and then have a meal in the Glendalough hotel.

The buses will return us to the pick up points at about 9pm- 9.30pm.

The cost for the day will be 10, which is payable on the day.

We look forward to seeing as many of our World Youth Day Pilgrims as possible on the day
