In this podcast Edel Ruddy (Sli Eile, Galway) speaks about the Magis experience.

MAGiS

MAGiS (pronounced “mh-gis”) is a Jesuit phrase that means “the more.” It is taken from Ad majorem Dei gloriam, a Latin phrase meaning “for the greater glory of God.”

Magis refers to the philosophy of doing more, for Christ, and therefore for others. It is an expression of an aspiration and inspiration. It relates to forming the ideal society centered around Jesus Christ. Magis is ‘more’ for your life, ‘more’ for our World.

The Magis weekend will allow participants to delve deeper into the experience of Homelessness in order to better understand the lives of those living on our streets and to inform the spirituality of young people who attend the Sli Eile prayer groups.
