 About the Sessions

Four parish based sessions between now and the International Eucharistic Congress in June 2012.  Julie Kavanagh (a member of the K&L Faith Development Services team and the Interim Liturgy Commission) has prepared four sessions to help parishes link in with next year’s International Eucharistic Congress. These sessions will take place locally between Autumn 2011 & June 2012.  The sessions will follow the four stages of preparation for the Congress, which focus on the four stages of the Mass. While linking into the Congress, the sessions will be firmly grounded in our own local experience.

Session One

Christ Gathers us as a Eucharistic Community (The Gathering Rite) Autumn 2011

Session Two

Christ gathers us to listen, to hear, to be nourished and to be formed into community by God’s Word (The Liturgy of the Word) Autumn 2011

Session Three

Christ gathers us to be nourished for communion by the Bread of Life, becoming the Body of Christ

(The Liturgy of the Eucharist) Spring 2012

Session Four

Christ gathers and strengthens us for Mission by the Word and the Bread of Life.

(The Dismissal Rite and beyond) Spring 2012
If you would like to join with others to explore the theme of the Congress, why not come along to all or some of these sessions.

ALL ARE WELCOME!
