Rite of Christian Initiation

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a program of the Catholic Church oriented towards those who are searching and inquiring about the Catholic way of life.

This afternoon session will be an opportunity to look at the current issues facing parishes in relation to the initiation of adults. It will also give parishes the information and resources to appropriately respond to adults and families approaching the parish for the sacraments of Initiation.

We anticipate that this session will be of particular interest to priests and all members of the parish team. Parishes might also consider inviting a member of their baptism team to the session.

The afternoon is being organised by Faith Development Services through a working group. The members of this group are Sr. Dolores Fitzgerald, Ms Margarita Bedding, Fr. Willie Byrne, Fr. Andy Leahy and Ms Julie Kavanagh.
