Oxfam Trailtrekker

Mournes to Carlingford

4 – 5 September 2010

Oxfam Ireland’s TRAILTREKKER is a 100km team adventure challenge across the Mourne Mountains and Cooley Peninsula. Teams of four must trek through the night to complete the course in under 36 hours.

The challenge tests participants to their limits as it combines endurance, navigation, determination and teamwork. Teams raise funds to help support Oxfams work to overcome poverty and injustice in some of the worlds poorest communities. Last year’s teams succeeded in raising more than 320,000!

Trevor Anderson has been working with Oxfam for over 25 years. He currently works as Head of Retail for the Island of Ireland. Here he speaks to Liam Cathasaigh about the TrailTrekker initiative, his experiences in over 25 years of working with Oxfam, and the importance of Oxfam’s retailing operations in Ireland.
