Lectio divina is a way of praying the Scriptures and a guide to living. It is a means of descending to the level of the heart and of finding God.
Fr. Séamus O’Connell
Fr Séamus O’Connell will explore how this ancient discipline works to awaken our hearts to God’s word, and how we might respond to the Lord who speaks to every person individually in the Bible.
This night is open to all parishioners interested in experiencing this.
Séamus O’Connell is Professor of Sacred Scripture in the Pontifical University in Maynooth. A former Director of Scripture Formation for the Diocese of Kerry, he is an expert on how we can welcome the Word of God as a living word in our day-to-day living.
