This is the 6th year for our parish to hold this special Mass.  This is a very spiritual opportunity to celebrate Mass while watching the dawn break over the countryside.  Bishop Nulty will be the chief celebrant at the Mass.  People travelling to the Mass are asked to arrive no later than 5.45am.  Please bring warm clothing, a folding chair or stool and where possible share transport in order to assist with parking

Bagenalstown Parish

The seventh Annual Easter Dawn Mass will take place on Easter Sunday Morning 2015 at 6am at the summit of   Mt. Leinster on the Blackstairs Mountains, south  Co. Carlow. This Gathering invites all for this special spiritual ceremony.

Buses will leave Bagenalstown at 4am from outside the Parish Church.  People are  encouraged to wrap up well in warm  clothing and to bring hot drinks and snacks if necessary.

Note: Traffic Management

Access to Mt. Leinster by car can be gained via Corrabutt Gap (the           Myshall side) and at Tom Duff (Borris side) before 4am. After 4am a          1-way-system will be put in place. Access may only be gained to            Mt. Leinster via Corrabutt Gap for cars. There will be however a shuttle bus service from car parks on either side up to 6am. Please co-operate with the direction of stewards on the morning. Those who would like to get up to the Mass area with elderly, please ensure you come early, as parking space fills up very early.
