Charles Darwin (PA)

Charles Darwin (1809 1882)

2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Carles Darwin. Darwin is traditionally seen as one of the great heroes of science, but what may be less well known is that his original ambition was to become a country clergyman.

Here Canon Patrick Comerford explains why in his opinion Darwin should not be seen as somebody outside the faith, but rather than somebody who was trying to describe the beauty and splendour of creation.
