THE PEOPLE’S CLIMATE MARCH will take place in Dublin, Cork and Belfast on Sunday 29th November at 2pm. Hundreds of thousands of us will be marching in cities around the world on November 29th, in what we hope will be the largest climate change mobilisation in history, just before our leaders travel to Paris for the climate summit. Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato Sí, encourages us all to take action like this for Climate Justice. He says,  “Let us be protectors of creation, protectors of God’s plan inscribed in nature, protectors of one another and of the environment.”

  • 1pm – Climate justice ecumenical service at St. Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast
  • 2pm – People’s Climate Rally, Belfast, Writer’s Square, Belfast
  • 2pm – People’s Climate Rally, Dublin – Custom’s House Quay, Dublin
  • 2pm – People’s Climate Rally, Cork – Grand Parade, Cork

Global Catholic Climate Movement Petition:

Trócaire has joined forces with the Global Catholic Climate Movement, a movement of Catholics worldwide, hoping to gather one million signatures asking world leaders to take urgent action to prevent climate change pushing people deeper into poverty.

This movement has been inspired by the Pope’s Encyclical Laudato Si’ which calls on all of us to care for the world’s poorest people, for future generations and for the earth, our common home. Sign the Petition now.

Please encourage as many people as possible in your parish, group or school to sign this petition. You can print out the petition letter and collect signatures in your community.
