Presentation of Certificates

On Saturday May 23rd Bishop Jim Moriarty, who chairs the Commission for Pastoral Renewal and Adult Faith Development, will presented certificates to candidates from across the country who have participated in and successfully completed a Church Organ Course.

The presentation took place in Renehan Hall, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth on Saturday May 23rd at 2:30pm.

This course is offered at national level by the Advisory Committee for Church Music (which operates under the Irish Episcopal Commission for Liturgy).

Over thirty people from the Kildare and Leighlin Diocese took part in Ten Organ Tutorials with a further eleven students sitting a foundation examination in organ. A number of our students have already sat or are preparing to sit a senior organ exam.

The diocese congratulates all who took part in these sessions and the parishes who supported them.
