Interview with Jesuit Volunteers in Ballymun

In this video Anna Phalan and Edele O’Donnell, who are part of the Jesuit Volunteer Community in Ballymun flats, talk about that experience and their sense of faith.

This community is based in a flat in one of the high rise blocks in Ballymun where up to 5 young adults give up to 1 year of their life to live in the community and be a full time volunteer in a number of selected partner projects around the city, e.g. working with the homeless, helping an after schools project in Ballymun. Working with refugees etc.

Each week there is a facilitated community night where experiences of work, life and faith are discussed in an open and relaxed manner. Of course, meals are generally cooked and eaten together.
