Subsequently seven men were chosen to go forward. Bishop Moriarty expressed the desire that the diocese would proceed with the training of these men and would not seek further applications until after the ordination of this group. So as it stands applications for diaconate in Kildare & Leighlin diocese are now closed. We now await the appointment of a new bishop so we must wait and see what his policy will be re. further applications. I hope this is helpful. Fr.
